The
Victory Attorneys National Moot Court Committee proudly announces the 5th Edition
of the Victory Attorneys National Moot Court Competition 2025, themed “Taxation
of Digital Assets: Domestic, Regional and International Regulatory Frameworks.”
This
year’s competition will bring together law students from universities across
Tanzania to explore the emerging legal and policy challenges surrounding
digital asset taxation, a rapidly evolving area intersecting technology,
finance, and law.
The
2025 edition focuses on issues such as the classification, valuation, and
cross-border taxation of cryptocurrencies and other blockchain-based assets.
Participants will debate complex legal questions arising from the use of
digital currencies, NFTs, fintech innovations, and metaverse transactions and
how these should be addressed under Tanzanian and African legal frameworks.
“As
Tanzania’s digital economy expands, understanding the taxation and regulation
of digital assets becomes essential,” said a representative of the Victory
Attorneys National Moot Court Committee. “This competition aims to prepare the
next generation of legal minds to tackle the challenges of our digital future.”
