Rising Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Adedayo Eedris Mustapha, professionally known as YODA, has officially released his highly anticipated debut EP titled You Only Die Alone (YODA) — a deeply personal six-track project inspired by real life, travel, and the rhythmic heartbeat of Afrobeat.
Born in Kwara State, Nigeria, and a graduate of the University of Bradford, UK, with a BSc in Information Technology with Business, YODA draws on his rich experiences across continents to craft a sound that is authentic, relatable, and layered with meaning. Now based between Lagos and the United Kingdom, YODA continues to push boundaries as he works on new projects that promise to expand his signature Afro-infused style.
“First and foremost, all glory to the Almighty for keeping me alive and blessing me with a second chance to pursue what I love,” says YODA. “This project is more than just music — it’s a blueprint of my Afro-fusion sound and a reflection of my journey. It captures a decade of lessons, highs and lows, and growth. I’m grateful to finally share this piece of my story with the world.”
